About Us At SIRA (the State Insurance Regulatory Authority) we regulate motor accidents CTP insurance, workers compensation insurance and the homebuilding compensation scheme in NSW. This role is in the Insurance Markets and Premium Design team of the Scheme Design (CTP, Premiums & Markets) directorate. A dynamic and interesting team that tackles big picture questions about the future of the NSW. We work across scheme design issues and provide strategic advice to the executive. Your responsibilities will include: Working with the team to undertake research, analysis and review of scheme design issues. Supporting the team in preparation of expert advice, evidence based options and information for stakeholders. Communicating with internal stakeholders and drafting correspondence. Supporting project administration for scheme initiatives. Contributing to the work of the broader scheme design team as needed. About you: Our ideal candidate is someone who is keen to learn and develop their skills in a policy & design environment. Someone who can apply their skills and experience to the strategic regulatory design of the statutory insurance schemes. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experiences in government regulation or public policy analysis are essential for this role. Ability to operate effectively in a complex, sensitive and changing environment and work across multiple tasks.
