Benefits: State bonus scheme Career development Opportunities Great team environment Retirement Fund Flexible Work Hours Key Responsibilities: Serve as the company’s technical lead (SME) on national cabling projects, from concept through commissioning. Oversee and support the delivery, installation, and laying of electric cables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with design teams to review and interpret cable designs, advising on practical installation and integration solutions. Provide end-to-end project engineering support across sectors: Renewable (solar, wind, battery storage), Resources (mining, oil & gas), and High-Spec Industrial Installations. Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to manage delivery schedules and on-site cable handling. Conduct site visits to ensure proper installation practices and troubleshoot technical or installation issues. Maintain rigorous quality assurance and compliance documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success. Provide technical training or support to internal teams and external contractors as required. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline). Minimum 2 years' experience in the electric cable industry, ideally with exposure to large-scale or technically demanding installations. Proven expertise in c able design, delivery logistics, laying techniques, and installation quality control. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence and manage technical conversations. Sound knowledge of industry standards (e.g., AS/NZS, IEC) and quality/safety frameworks. Ability to work autonomously across multiple projects and travel to national sites as required. Experience working in or supporting projects in Renewables, Resources, or High-Spec applications is strongly preferred. Full Australian work rights. Driver's Licence Desirable: Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). Exposure to SCADA, HV/MV systems, or industrial automation cabling. Familiarity with engineering drawing tools and cable design software.
