Description Join us as a Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM), where you’ll provide high‑quality first line risk advice and support to the Group Customer Operations Chief Operating Office (GCO COO). What’s the role? This permanent full‑time role, based in Sydney, partners with the Group Customer Operations Chief Operating Office (COO) and Process & Intelligent Automation Solutions (PIAS) first line risk teams to deliver pragmatic, high‑quality risk advice across digital, technology and transformation initiatives within GCO. You’ll help the business manage its control environment in line with Group policies, regulatory obligations and risk appetite, supporting the safe delivery of large‑scale change. You’ll provide first line risk advice across incidents, issues, controls and non‑financial risk metrics, and play a key role in Risk‑in‑Change and strategic transformation activity. A major focus will be uplifting technology risk practices, driving continual improvement, enabling automation, and ensuring risk assessments, controls and project delivery outcomes are strong and well‑governed. You’ll also support senior leaders with clear insights and reporting that drive informed, safe decision‑making. What do I need? Substantial years of experience in risk or compliance within financial services. Strong experience in technology risk management and working with technology or transformation teams. Exposure to project risk management or Risk‑in‑Change (desirable). Knowledge of automation or data tools such as Power Platform, Alteryx or AI-based solutions (desirable). Strong commercial acumen, analytical problem‑solving capability and ability to influence stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, outcomes‑focused mindset. Why join us?
