Technical Analytics Roles – APS6 & EL1 Location: Sydney (Hybrid) Contract Type: Labour hire, 12 months with a 6‑month extension option Clearance: Australian Citizenship required About the Role We are seeking technically strong analytics professionals at APS6 and EL1 level to join a federal government client’s specialist team delivering complex, high‑impact analytical and modelling work in a policy‑driven environment. These roles combine hands‑on technical delivery with stakeholder engagement and, at senior levels, technical leadership and influence. Key Responsibilities Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, variations, and actionable insights Design, build, implement, and evaluate statistical and analytical models Develop and maintain high‑quality analytical code using SAS, SQL, and/or Python Prepare clear, well‑structured technical papers and reports for varied audiences Contribute to the development and enhancement of analytical systems, tools, or platforms Provide technical advice to stakeholders on data, modelling, and analytical issues Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes At senior level, lead analytical workstreams, mentor colleagues, and support executive‑level briefings What We’re Looking For Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail Experience working with complex or sensitive datasets in a government, policy, or regulated environment Ability to translate technical analysis into clear, practical insights Confidence working in complex or ambiguous environments Must‑Have Technical Skills Statistical or quantitative analysis and modelling Data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance Coding experience in SAS, SQL, and/or Python Technical documentation and analytical reporting Highly Regarded Experience in health, aged care, or public sector analytics Experience contributing to or leading analytical tools, portals, or dashboards Experience providing technical guidance or mentoring A degree in a quantitative discipline (or equivalent professional experience) How to Apply If you are technically outstanding, enjoy working on complex, meaningful analytics, and are looking for an opportunity to apply your skills to high‑impact, real‑world challenges, we encourage you to apply.
