About the role Are you obsessed with pop culture and have a knack for finding the "clicky" angle in every story? We are looking for a creative and energetic Senior Entertainment Writer to join our vibrant team. In this role, you'll be the heartbeat of our entertainment vertical, crafting everything from sharp opinion pieces to viral TikToks. You won't just be reporting on the zeitgeist; you'll be shaping it. As a key face of the Mamamia brand, you'll represent us at red carpets and junkets, ensuring our highly engaged audience always has a front-row seat to the best celebrity, reality TV, and streaming content. Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us: Pitching and writing high-quality entertainment and pop culture opinion content that resonates with millions of women. Creating engaging video content for Mamamia's social channels, including TikTok and Instagram. Representing Mamamia at exclusive press junkets, red carpet events, and premieres to deliver original stories. Monitoring the zeitgeist across TV, radio, and social media to stay ahead of the trends everyone is talking about. Maintaining a detailed entertainment calendar to ensure we are forward-planning for major global and local events. Collaborating with our audience development team to optimize headlines and SEO strategies for maximum reach. Stepping in to shadow editors, curating the homepage, and managing social media "sells" during driving shifts. Building your profile as an entertainment expert across our various platforms, including podcast and TV opportunities. Now, a bit about you You have at least five years of experience writing for a digital media publication, with a proven track record of driving engagement. You are a pop culture vulture with an eye for spotting unique angles and forming fresh, bold opinions. You're a team player who thrives on feedback and communicates with honesty, respect, and curiosity. You have a demonstrated ability to adapt and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You are comfortable being the "face" of a brand, whether it's on a red carpet or behind a microphone. You possess strong digital production skills and understand how to tailor content for different social platforms. You are deeply committed to Mamamia's mission and can prioritize the perspectives of our audience in everything you create.
