Our client is seeking an Associate Level Interior Designer with 10 years of workplace experience to join their talented design team. Specialising in end-to-end project delivery, from workplace strategy, planning and design through to construction management and final occupancy, this world-class company has been delivering exceptional results for their clients for more than 30 years. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of design expertise, leadership capability, and collaborative spirit to the fun, fast paced environment that already exists. You must be highly motivated and detail-oriented; a designer who excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously and can operate both independently and as part of a geographically distributed team. Essential Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years' experience in workplace/commercial interior fitout design International experience will be highly regarded Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, project managers, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams Business Development experience and support Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Proven, hands-on experience across all phases of the design process from initial feasibility and concept development through to construction delivery Collaborate with the team and directly consult with clients to understand their design and construction requirements Facilitate briefs, pitch and present ideas, produce compelling design presentations Able to prepare comprehensive technical documentation - specifications, tender packages, construction drawings Attend project and site meetings, coordinate with consultants and contractors Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite Strategic design mindset with a balanced approach to quality, timelines and budget Meticulous at reviewing personal work and checking output from others This role demands a highly creative, efficient, strategically thoughtful and commercially savvy designer. Your vibrant personality and confident approach will be essential to your success in the eyes of their global clients. You will also need to be willing and able to document and detail on AutoCAD as required. Whilst somewhat unusual to remain hands-on at this level of experience, every designer in the company is highly versatile with broadly based skills and they take accountability and responsibility for their projects throughout all stages. In order to attract the best, the salary package on offer is in the range of $160,000 to $180,000 per annum plus Superannuation, plus phone and travel costs. Hybrid working options are also available if desired.
