About the Lennox Head Practice Lennox Head Medical Centre and Epiq Medical Centre provide comprehensive support services to our GPs, enabling them to deliver high-quality, ethical general practice and evidence-based care that makes a genuine difference to patients and the wider community. The Opportunity We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our Lennox Head and Epiq Medical Centre to be a key team member working collaboratively within the practice, providing high quality customer service all patients. This role will see you managing a busy front desk reception, welcoming patients to the practice, supporting health care professionals as well as general administration duties. Key Responsibilities Greeting patients and checking them in and out professionally Scheduling and confirming appointments Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries Maintaining patient records while ensuring confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Verifying patient information (insurance details, contact info) Handling billing tasks , such as collecting co-payments and processing invoices Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and medical staff Managing referrals and authorizations Handling medical correspondence (emails, faxes, test results) Keeping the reception and waiting area organised and calm Working within a team environment Our Ideal Candidate To excel in this role, you'll possess: Exceptional customer service skills with previous customer service experience an advantage. Excellent communication skills including a professional & personable telephone manner. Detail-orientated. Ability to multi-task and prioritise. Knowledge of Pracsoft/Medtech is an advantage. Ability to work as part of a multifaceted team and independently. Neat and professional presentation.
