Job Title Business Intake Officer Ref No. 103443 Job Location Perth Opening Date 28-Jan-2026 Work Type Full Time Description Do you thrive on accuracy, confidentiality and have exceptional organisation skills? Keen to grow specialist expertise in Australian Anti-Money Laundering regulations? This role offers a rare chance to build deep, in-demand knowledge. Want to work for a global law firm with a strong commitment to culture, development and wellbeing? This could be the perfect fit! This is a brand-new role for our Australian practice, based in our Perth office. Our global Business Intake team manages client and matter conflict requests and assigns new client and matter numbers. The department also acts as a funnel for all essential matter information. Working as part of a small local AU team, but reporting to and being part of our wider, global Business Intake team, you will be responsible for providing assistance on all aspects of new business intake for Australia, including preliminary conflict check requests, completing and monitoring Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and other compliance checks, and client/matter file opening. To succeed in this role, previous experience with conflict checking and client inception is desirable, with working in a professional service environment preferred. Ideally you will also have some knowledge/awareness of AML regulations in other jurisdictions and/or an interest in developing specialist knowledge in AML rules. The firm opens many new matters and onboards a significant volume of new clients each month, therefore confidentiality, discretion and professionalism are essential for this role, as are exceptional organisational skills, follow through and efficient turnaround times. You will also have very high attention to detail, well developed verbal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to teamwork. Strong technical skills are essential, including knowledge of MS Excel and Word, with previous experience using LegalKey and/or Aderant Expert (or similar) desirable. Local Connections.
