Team Leader – Veteran Support Team Classification: SCHADS Social Level 6 Location: Spring Hill Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Why this role matters The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of the largest providers of homelessness services across the country. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. About the role As Team Leader – Veteran Support Team, you will provide strong operational and people leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with national and state strategic plans, the National Homelessness Stream Model of Care, and the Local Mission Plan. You will lead and support a team of Case Managers to deliver person-led case management responses that assist veterans and veteran families to access safe accommodation, sustain tenancies, build social inclusion, and address both immediate and long-term needs. This role plays a key part in ensuring organisational standards, service delivery targets, and funding body requirements are consistently met. Key responsibilities include: Leading, supervising, and performance-managing a team of Case Managers Ensuring service delivery aligns with organisational frameworks, policies, and strategic priorities Monitoring performance against targets and funding requirements Actively contributing to The Salvation Army’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all aspects of the role How you will make an impact You will drive effective and responsive service delivery by: Implementing service delivery processes and tools that support best practice outcomes Working closely with the Program Manager to collect and collate data for reporting Ensuring high-quality service delivery across intake, assessment, case planning, and client outcomes Allocating and monitoring caseloads and team capacity to maximise service effectiveness Providing specialist leadership and guidance on complex case management matters Monitoring service performance and collaboratively developing strategies to address issues Identifying service gaps and recommending continuous improvement initiatives What you will bring A degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development, or a related field OR demonstrated high-level sector knowledge and skills gained through relevant experience and professional development Proven experience working in a social services environment, including staff supervision Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills A current Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check A valid and current QLD Driver’s Licence What we offer The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
