We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. About Journey to Social Inclusion (J2SI) J2SI is an innovative and evidenced-based case management service for people experiencing long-term homelessness. It differs from traditional homelessness services as it provides the time needed for people to access their permanent home and have an improved quality of life and increased community connection. Staff have the ability to work intensively with small caseloads and use a combined key worker and team approach to deliver intensive individualised support for up to 3 years to each client. About the role As a Team Leader, this is your opportunity to provide leadership and supervision to the J2SI team while working closely with the J2SI Manager to embed program targets, achieve outcomes and maintain strong quality reporting and continuous improvement. Support and develop the Peer Settlement Support Worker and maintain partnerships with local ACCOs to strengthen lived-experience practice and improve tenancy sustainment and employment, education and training outcomes for J2SI clients. Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent full-time role, located in Frankston, VIC. How you will make an impact Lead and support high-quality J2SI service delivery by supervising staff, monitoring outcomes, maintaining accurate records, auditing files, embedding trauma-informed practice and ensuring culturally safe support in partnership with ACCOs and First Nations workers. Provide strong leadership and accountability through regular supervision, performance monitoring, reflective practice and psychological first aid, while contributing to evaluation, continuous quality improvement and alignment with national, state and organisational strategies. Actively participate in organisational and consortium activities including meetings, service planning, collaborative practice across the J2SI Consortium and Services Division, and implementation of the TSA Strategic Plan and Model of Care. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, consortium partners, service and referral partners, evaluation teams and the broader sector through collaboration and agreed network participation. Uphold professional, financial, risk, safety and information security responsibilities by complying with policies and procedures, completing required training and development, managing resources appropriately and contributing to a safe, ethical and high-performing workplace. What you will bring A Tertiary qualification in social work, welfare, or related field, and/or management is desirable, and relevant experience in a social service environment Understanding of the Victorian Homelessness & Housing service system, including legislative requirements Understands and applies homelessness models, approaches, theories, and practices when dealing with clients, knowledge of the theory & effects of structural disadvantage. Demonstrates awareness of the issues (may include Homelessness, poverty, mental health, neglect, cultural issues, domestic abuse, substance issues, etc) experienced by persons experiencing financial hardship or crisis.
