Underground Mining Engineer - FIFO 8:6 (Perth) I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a range of mid-tier and Tier 1 underground mining operations across Australia. These sites are looking for capable Underground Mining Engineers with solid operational exposure and a strong safety mindset. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical and production support to underground operations Develop and maintain mine designs, schedules, and development plans Drill and blast design, charge plans, and performance analysis Ground support design and monitoring Liaise closely with operations, geology, and technical services teams Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory, and regulatory requirements Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities Skills & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years' experience in underground mining operations Strong understanding of underground mining methods and production processes Experience with mine planning and scheduling software Sound knowledge of drilling, blasting, ventilation, and ground support Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in site-based teams Proven commitment to safety and risk management What's on Offer: Competitive pay rates with mid-tier and Tier 1 operators FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster Exposure to well-supported underground operations Long-term career development and progression opportunities If you're an underground mining engineer looking to take the next step in your career, I'd be happy to have a confidential discussion.
