The Opportunity The People and Culture Team at Sealink - K'gari are seeking a P&C Generalist to join the team, this role plays an integral part in supporting the operations and P&C Manager with Human Resource related matters. The People & Culture Officer will support SeaLink K'gari operations including Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari Beach Resort, K'gari Explorer Tours, Marine Operations and support services. This is a permanent full-time role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with at least three days per week working from K'gari Island. About You You will have exceptional attention to detail, data, analytics and computer skills, be able to pick up different programs and systems quickly, as well have excellent networking and interpersonal skills. You must be a team player and be able to assist and cover colleagues in all areas of People & Culture. This role will work across recruitment, processing contracts and onboarding through to induction on island, all HR cyclical activities, ensuring files and information are kept UpToDate, as well as oversee the coordination of apprentices, interns and visa sponsorships. This role will ensure alignment to compliance, training and with relevant legislation and obligations at all times. You will also have the following: Qualifications in Human Resources field or relevant experience. Experience in using different HR systems and platforms to generate contracts, assist with recruitment and onboarding through employee payroll and data system. Understanding of employment legislation, employee engagement, and HR Cyclical programs. Experience in assisting with case management and workplace investigations. Understanding of traineeships, apprentices and visa sponsorship Maintaining relevant documentation inclusive of P&C related policies and procedures, Position Descriptions, Org charts etc. Ability to provide guidance to employees and coach and advise leaders Ability to provide payroll administration and put together reporting and insights Enjoys working in a team, a can do attitude, and problem solver. This is a hands on all rounder HR Coordinator role People and culture experience in tourism, hospitality or transport is highly regarded. Must be able to work from K'gari Island at Kingfisher Bay resort at least 3 days a week either by catching the 7am and 5pm ferry to and from the Island or you can reside on the Island. The team takes it in turns to travel or fly across to the other side of the Island and work from K'gari Beach Resort once a week. Key to success in this role, you will be able to work independently in a fast-paced and diverse environment but you enjoy working in a great team environment. You will also have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and be able to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
