Job Description We’re looking for skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurses to join our multidisciplinary Primary Health Care team at the Melbourne Immigration Detention Centre. The role focuses on early identification, assessment and management of mental health needs, psychological distress, and risk, within a primary care framework. Part-time and Casual opportunities available Day to day! Provide comprehensive mental health assessment, therapeutic intervention, medication management and care planning that promote wellbeing, stability, and continuity of care. Support individuals experiencing acute distress, trauma, and complex psychosocial needs A strong emphasis is placed on risk assessment, suicide and self-harm prevention, and timely escalation of concerns. Work collaboratively with primary care, security staff, and external services Lets talk about you! Current AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse (Division 1) with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience, of which at least 2 years have been in a mental health setting.
