Job Description We are seeking a visionary and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations at the Novotel Newcastle Beach. In this full-time hands on role, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, in the 50 seat restaurant with bar & 4 conference & events spaces. Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, and inventory management Leading culinary innovation and delivering consistently exceptional food Mentor and inspire your kitchen team, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement Collaborate with the management team to ensure seamless front-of-house and back-of-house operations Manage kitchen financials, including food cost control, labor planning, and budget management Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness Partner with local suppliers to source high-quality, sustainable ingredients Stay current with culinary trends and innovate to keep our restaurant at the forefront of the Newcastle dining scene Contribute to marketing initiatives and represent the restaurant in media appearances and community events
