The Role: We are currently looking for multiple Disability Support Workers to work with a female client based in Benowa, QLD. Our participant is a 76-year-old female and has sustained Traumatic Brain Injury post a motor-vehicle accident. She requires moderate to high intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with Traumatic Brain Injury will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight. Our participant requires 24/7 support and is 2:1 support. The shift times are as follows: 06:00am to 09:00am 06:00am to 02:00pm 02:00pm to 10:00pm 07:00pm to 10:00pm Active overnight: 10:00pm to 06:00am. Pay Rates: Day Shift: $39.25 per hour Afternoon Shift: $43.18 per hour Night shift: $43.96 per hour Saturday: $54.95 per hour Sunday: $70.65 per hour Key Responsibilities: Assistance with personal care Hoisting & Transfers (full hoist/sling hoist) Medication Prompting Attend to thorough skin checks Supervision/assistance during meal time Assistance with domestic tasks including meal preparation Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises Community access rehab appointments Capacity Building and Companionship Skills & Experiences: Minimum 6 months of experience with high intensity participant. Excellent Communication Assistance in Medication Certificate. Australian Driver Licence own vehicle Current National Police Clearance Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card Current Blue Card NDIS modules.
