Alice Springs, NT Full-Time | Fixed Term | 2-year Engagement (ASAP Start) We are seeking motivated and safety-focused Operators to join a major power generation facility in Central Australia. The Opportunity As an Operator, you will work within a rotating shift environment to monitor, operate and support a range of power generation technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of plant and equipment across the site. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor generating plant and associated equipment across multiple technologies. Conduct inspections, tests and routine operational tasks, identifying defects and entering accurate information into the ERP system. Coordinate safe access to plant for maintenance activities in partnership with the site leadership team. Work collaboratively with remote operations teams to optimise plant operations. Uphold strong safety, environmental and quality standards at all times. Participate in a 24/7 shift roster and support onsite supervision when required. About You You will bring initiative, strong safety awareness and the ability to work well in a team-based, fast-paced operational environment. Essential Strong commitment to safe work practices. AQF Level III qualification OR relevant experience/skills. Experience working within structured operational or industrial environments. Ability to analyse plant issues, identify anomalies and report accurately. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Experience working in continuous shift operations. Desirable Experience with gas turbines, reciprocating engines or similar industrial plant. Trade background in mechanical or electrical fields. Experience working within a Permit to Work system.
