$130–$150k base super company performance bonus potential for equity Brisbane / Gold Coast / Hobart / REMOTE / WFH Feeling constrained by rigid hierarchy, slow decision-making or roles that have stopped stretching you? Help shape how Australian businesses respond to mandatory climate disclosures You’ll have direct access to the founders. No layers. No politics. No micromanagement. Why this role exists Australia’s climate disclosure landscape is changing fast. Mandatory reporting under AASB S2 / IFRS S2 is moving carbon accounting from a compliance exercise to a board-level capability. We’re building a team of specialists who don’t just calculate emissions, they help organisations understand risk, make defensible decisions, and prepare for assurance. We’re growing fast. Really fast! And we’re looking for a Climate & Carbon Accounting Specialist who wants ownership, influence and the chance to help define what “good” looks like in a rapidly evolving market. This is not a plug-and-play role. It’s a hands-on, think-deep, sleeves-up opportunity to work with some very large organisations (including billion-dollar businesses), helping them understand, validate and meet disclosure compliance for their emissions. You’ll get space to think, autonomy to act, and direct access to the founders. No layers. No politics. No micromanagement. Just meaningful work, real flexibility, and a genuine path to equity if you want it. What you’ll work on You’ll manage multiple client engagements, acting as the trusted expert responsible for preparing organisational GHG Inventories across Scope 1,2 and 3. That means: Owning client relationships and running regular cadence meetings Defining organisational and operational emissions boundaries Collecting, testing, validating and challenging emissions data Applying ISO14064-1 and GHG protocol in real-world, imperfect data environments Supporting clients through climate disclosure readiness, uncertainty and assurance Ensuring reporting presents complex data back to stakeholders in a simple way and aligns with relevant standards, protocols and frameworks Working across multiple projects as new customers are onboarded You’ll also play a role in shaping how we scale, including automation, AI adoption and smarter ways of doing things as the market matures. What we’re looking for Experience in carbon accounting, sustainability, ESG or climate reporting A strong working knowledge of carbon accounting principles and standards The ability to manipulate, interrogate and validate data with the ability to explain technical outcomes clearly to non-technical stakeholders Commercial nous, you ask the right questions and understand the “why”, not just the numbers Confidence in your judgement and decisions with strong stakeholder communication Excellent organisation and project management capability Comfort wearing multiple hats in a growing, evolving business You might come from a Carbon Accounting background, or a Senior Data Analytics role with strong carbon logic, what matters most is how you think. About Us We’ve been operating for four years and already works with some of Australia’s largest brands and corporate groups across a wide range of sectors. We are well known for helping organisations prepare for mandatory climate disclosure without the cost, complexity or jargon that typically comes with it. The business was founded by Richie (Gold Coast) and Ben (Hobart) with a clear purpose: to make climate compliance more affordable, more practical and genuinely useful for Australian businesses. This isn’t a top-down organisation, the founders are accessible, hands-on, open to ideas and move fast. In this role, you’ll work directly with them and have a real opportunity to influence how the company evolves, including potential equity for the right person. The work matters. The market is emerging. And we won’t pretend it’s always easy, building something meaningful rarely is. But what you gain is growth, flexibility, lifestyle and impact. You’ll be trusted to think, contribute and help shape solutions — not just follow process. If you’re feeling constrained by rigid hierarchy, slow decision-making or roles that have stopped stretching you, this is an opportunity to do things differently, and to help build a business that will shape how climate reporting is done in Australia for years to come.
