We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Operations Accountant to join our Finance team at our corporate head office in Darra . This newly created role will support our Grinding Facility in Western Australia, providing a unique opportunity to build strong relationships with site teams, enhance capability across the business, and shape how financial insight drives operational performance. As a key member of the operations team, you will provide clear, practical reporting and advice that enables teams to understand the numbers, take ownership of costs, and make informed decisions. The role includes regular travel to the WA site. Your Opportunity Partner closely with site operations to provide clear financial insight and support decision-making at the Naval Base Grinding Facility (WA) Own month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities Drive cost control and variance analysis across production and raw materials Coach and support non-financial leaders to build capability in cost ownership and SAP reporting Support capex, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives Work collaboratively with Group Accounting to align processes and reporting What You’ll Bring CPA or CA qualification 5 years’ experience in management or operations accounting Experience in heavy manufacturing, mining, ports, logistics, or similar environments Strong understanding of production costs, activity-based costing, and COGS Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with operational teams Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Experience with SAP and management reporting Willingness to travel to WA on a regular basis and work flexibly across WA time zones Why Join Cement Australia?
