Operating within a highly regulated environment, the company plays a critical role in diverting non-recyclable waste from landfill and transforming it into engineered fuel for industrial energy use. About the HSEQ Advisor Role This is a key role within a complex, industrial operation where Health, Safety, Environment and Quality are central to the licence to operate. The HSEQ Advisor will support site leadership by providing expert guidance across safety, environmental compliance, and quality systems, while also owning a strong reporting and governance component. The role offers exposure to regulators, ISO-accredited systems, and site-specific strategy development, with the opportunity to influence how HSEQ frameworks are embedded into daily operations. While an individual contributor role, there is scope to mentor others and support the ongoing development of site culture in a challenging operational environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continually improve HSEQ policies, plans, and site systems Maintain and manage accreditation to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 for the facility Oversee safety management systems, reporting platforms, and compliance documentation Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across fixed and mobile plant operations Liaise with HSEQ regulators, including environmental and safety authorities, ensuring statutory obligations are met Coordinate injury management and return-to-work programs Support environmental monitoring and reporting requirements under licence conditions Supervise laboratory operations and ensure product quality standards from waste reception through to finished product Participate in HSEQ committees and support site-specific strategy aligned to broader business objectives Candidate Requirements Tertiary qualifications in HSEQ or a related discipline Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, workers compensation, and OH&S compliance requirements Experience in industrial, manufacturing, waste, or processing environments Proven capability managing ISO-aligned systems and regulatory reporting High attention to detail with strong documentation and organisational skills Confident communicator with the ability to influence operational teams and leadership Passion for building and sustaining a safety-first culture in a dynamic environment Culture & Values The organisation is proudly values-driven, with Sustainability, Commitment, Creativity, and Agility at the core of how it operates.
