Maintenance Fitter Permanent | FMCG / Food & Beverage | Western Sydney We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a fast-paced FMCG environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting new equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing footprint. Primary Duties Fit new equipment including conveyors, packaging machinery, and general engineering Perform maintenance work as required Complete all assigned duties in a timely, safe, and compliant manner Coordinate and work effectively within a team environment Maintain and operate equipment as designed Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives Maintain and use own tools to complete jobs Key Deliverables Strategic Deliverables: Support team capability development by applying good manufacturing practice skills Assist in strategy reviews to optimise manufacturing footprint efficiency Technical Deliverables: Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned tasks and projects Monitor compliance in all areas and communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs Maintain quality control throughout projects and tasks Provide clear status reports on tasks/projects Collaborate closely with work schedulers, supervisors, and project leaders to offer technical support Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions as needed Key Competencies & Experience Technical / Functional Competencies: Proficient technical expertise in maintenance fitting Advanced problem-solving skills Strong accountability and ownership of work Proficient in drafting and drawing interpretation Experience / Qualifications Required: Relevant Trade Qualification (Fitter or Mechanical) 2-5 years' experience in similar roles within FMCG, food & beverage, or infrastructure environments preferred If you are reliable, motivated, and ready to contribute to a growing team, please apply now or contact me at scottc@harrisonbarratt.com.au
