An established, Australian-owned organisation with a long-standing history and a diverse national workforce is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its supportive finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both operational and corporate employees within a dynamic environment. The Role Reporting into the finance function, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and compliance. Key responsibilities include: Processing weekly and monthly payroll for a large and varied workforce, including site-based and office employees Maintaining accurate payroll and employee records in line with awards, EBAs and legislation Calculating allowances, overtime, deductions and adjustments Preparing and lodging superannuation contributions and payroll tax Managing month-end and year-end payroll processes, including STP and PAYG reporting Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and leaders in a professional manner Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate data and reporting Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with Fair Work and ATO requirements Accounts Receivable management Back up Accounts Payable - invoicing, processing, matching to PO's Provide finance support to CFO About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing Strong knowledge of awards, EBAs and Australian payroll legislation Experience using payroll systems and solid Microsoft Excel skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Understanding of superannuation, payroll tax and STP requirements Experience in not just payroll but, sound experience in all-round transactional accounting Why Join?
