We are seeking a skilled LiSEC Technician to work in one of Australia’s leading glass processing companies. The LiSEC Technician will be responsible for managing LiSEC project installations, commissioning, servicing and effectively troubleshooting and correcting any mechanical, electrical, or control issues with our LiSEC machinery. This role works to ensure that machinery, plant and equipment are safe, working efficiently and maintained to a level to be able to ensure uninterrupted operations, while identifying and eliminating root causes of operational failures, conducting root cause failure analysis and monitoring equipment trends. Location: Melbourne, VIC Salary: $140k – $150k, dependent on skills and experience What the role entails: Contribute and assist in upcoming improvement projects Improve the ongoing reliability and performance of LiSEC equipment Liaise with Operations Managers regarding the optimisation of equipment availability and installation of machines accordingly Assist in the preparation, monitoring, implementation and review of predictive and preventative maintenance systems and schedules for each category of equipment. (Weekly planning and shutdown planning) Achieve and maintain compliance level for Preventative Maintenance Provide effective coaching, training and skills transfer Reporting and analysis for senior management Manage a professional and effective relationship with key service providers Ensure all existing and new equipment installations comply with relevant plant regulations, codes of practice and Australian standards Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) through the Major Incident Investigation (MII) process to identify areas of further development Active involvement in driving, improving and maintaining Industry’s best maintenance program Qualification & Licence Requirements Degree or Diploma qualification in Engineering – Mechanical, Electronics, Automation or Mechatronics is highly preferred Knowledge / Experience Requirements Significant (10 years) experience with LiSEC and other glass processing equipment (Essential) At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Glass Industry (Essential) Experience in LiSEC Project installations/commissioning/Servicing and Troubleshooting (Essential) Experience with IT / Networking (Desirable) SAP or MEX Experience (Desirable) Skill Requirements Exceptional planning and execution skills Root Cause Analysis skills High level of written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail MS Office (Word and Excel) Ability to work autonomously and within a team Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time Ability to plan, analyse and challenge Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholders Practical hands-on approach to problem solving If this role interests you, please send us your CV at careers@globaltalentagency.com.au
