As an educator you’ll work as part of a small team of early childhood professionals to deliver SDN’s innovative, high quality and inclusive program for children, while building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families, and delivering the support of the SDN village to their lives. About you You will be an experienced qualified educator, with a demonstrated understanding of the early years learning framework and the national quality standards relating to child care. Additionally, you will enjoy working as part of a team with good communication skills. You currently hold or are able to gain a working with children check. A current first aid qualification is desirable. The centre is a 44-place centre in Waterloo, offering early childhood education for children from birth to school age and also offers an Autism Specific program focusing on transition to school. About the role Your role will involve collaborating with children about their interests and supporting them by creating a stimulating environment. As well as supporting the physical needs of children, you will assist in the observation and evaluation of the children’s development, creating an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitions.
