About the Role We’re seeking a Cook & Food Assistant to join our village team in a fixed-term contract until May 2026, combining weekend cooking with weekday kitchen support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and meaningful work in a community setting. This is a hybrid role across the week: Saturday & Sunday | 7:00am – 2:00pm You’ll work as the Cook, preparing nourishing, well-presented meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and food safety standards. Monday & Tuesday | 10:00am – 7:00pm You’ll support the Cook as a Food Assistant, assisting with food preparation, service, and kitchen operations (Includes a break between 2:00pm – 3:00pm) What you’ll do Prepare, cook and present quality meals on weekends Assist with food preparation, meal service and kitchen duties during the week. Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards Support stock control, waste minimisation and smooth kitchen operations.
