Pro Regal Pavilion is a growing business and is looking for a Qualified Baker to meet the business requirement to produce fresh baked goods, including celebration cakes and other bakery items, to support events held at the venue and ensure consistent quality and presentation for clients. Role Summary The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking and decorating a range of bakery products and celebration cakes for events hosted at Pro Regal Pavilion, including weddings, birthdays and other special occasions. This position supports the venue’s food production needs by delivering high-quality, fresh-baked goods in line with event timelines and quality standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a range of bakery products by accurately measuring and mixing ingredients, shaping doughs and pastries, and operating baking equipment in accordance with recipes. Prepare and bake fresh bakery, desserts, and cake items for weddings and events to individual customer requirements. Plan and schedule bakery production in line with event bookings. Production Planning & Coordination Check the quality of raw materials and finished products for consistency and safety. Assist with ordering and stock control of baking ingredients and supplies. Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work areas in compliance with food safety standards. Required Skills and Experience At least a Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent). Minimum 2-3 years’ practical experience as a baker, preferably including cake decoration and event baking. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality baked goods Knowledge of cake decoration for functions (preferable) Sound understanding of occupational health, food safety and hygiene regulations. Attention to detail in recipe execution, presentation and finish. Time management and the ability to work to event deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication with kitchen staff and event coordinators Other Detail: Job type: Full-time Salary: AUD 76,600 plus superannuation Working Conditions This role is based on-site at the Pro Regal Pavilion, supporting in-house food production for scheduled events.
