We are looking for truly exceptional Production Operators, who have experience in the dairy processing industry! Our Opportunity! Lemnos Foods are looking for experienced Cheese Makers to work as part of the production team based at our Dandenong South manufacturing plant. You will play an integral role in the cheese making activity with a direct focus on delivering the planned make schedule to support a highly efficient production. Your focus will have you leading/directing a support person in the making area, whilst supporting all safety, quality, supply and cost activities. Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: High level of understanding of the cheese making process and pasteurisation; Responding to milk, curd, and cheese throughout the process to yield; Maintaining appropriate records and close monitoring of the daily production process by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for batching and processing our products; Recording and reporting necessary information i.e. performance / downtime / Safety; Coordinating break times to minimise impact to cheese production; Accurate printing out and recording of all work orders; and Liaising with the maintenance team regarding machine efficiencies. Key selection criteria: If you have experience working in dairy manufacturing as a cheese maker, a strong understanding of GMP & HACCP programs, the ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information written and verbal, a sound technical aptitude, the ability to work shift and the occasional overtime, follow detailed work procedures, have good communication and the ability to work both individually and in a team environment then please submit your application, including current resume by selecting 'Apply' and following the prompts. About You The successful candidate will have Previous experience working in the dairy or food industry. Qualification in Food Processing is desirable but not essential. Be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs; Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work shift work, overtime and weekends as required. Have the ability to work both individually and in a team environment; Good problem solving skills; Access to own or reliable transport to site.
