The Opportunity The Ganger is responsible for coordinating and supervising labour, plant and materials allocated to worksites, as well as providing a high level of support to the Works Supervisor in undertaking a leading role whilst performing operational and maintenance tasks. The key responsibilities include: (1) Assisting the Works Supervisor in maintaining efficient and effective day to day operations of construction and maintenance projects ensuring the efficient delivery of the Works Programs; (2) Assisting the Works Supervisor in the advanced planning and organising of projects; (3) Organising and allocating tasks within the gang to ensure work allocated is completed within agreed timeframes and budget; About Yourself A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Certificate III in Civil Construction or willingness to complete such qualification, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have: (1) Verification of Competency in the operation of various types of plant; (2) OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card; (3) Open ‘LR’ class drivers licence required or willingness to obtain; and (4) Heavy Rigid (HR) Queensland Drivers Licence.
