Position Description – Mechanical Fitter Location: Revesby, NSW Industry: Food Manufacturing Hours: Monday to Friday | Day Shift Pay Rate: $55–$60 per hour (depending on experience) Employment Type: Full-time / Ongoing About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Revesby. This is a sole engineer on site role, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and taking full ownership of site maintenance. You will be responsible for the general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all plant and factory equipment , ensuring smooth day-to-day operations with minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across the factory Fault finding and repairs on mechanical equipment and production machinery General factory maintenance including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and basic fabrication Electrical disconnect/reconnect of equipment where licensed Liaising with external contractors when required Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting issues proactively Ensuring all work is completed in line with food safety and WHS standards About You Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent) Previous experience working in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment Comfortable working as the sole maintenance engineer on site Happy to perform a wide range of general factory maintenance duties Disconnect/Reconnect licence highly desirable Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Reliable, organised, and safety focused What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rate of $55–$60 per hour Stable Monday to Friday day shift – no weekends Autonomous role with full ownership of site maintenance Long-term opportunity with a secure food manufacturing business
