Job Description In an Agile development environment, you are working directly with software engineers on innovative features and initiatives, whilst collaborating with product managers, designers, Trust Services reviewers and support engineers. Convincing a team to architect their code in a different way to make it more testable Pairing with software engineers to train them in efficient testing techniques (including exploratory testing) Responsibilities Oversees the Quality of deliverables and in alignment with corporate SDLC processes Ensures high quality standards in FSM Tribe Focused on Customer impact Guiding and Training Quality Initiatives in the FSM Tribe Assesses and Improves tooling in order to improve quality Software Quality Lead has authority to say what can be release for Customer and when Ensures that Trust Services reviews take place on time, and requirements are met and tested before release Software Quality Lead makes sure that features are delivered in high quality. Driving quality plan which can be discussed with other stakeholders during release planning What are the kind of things Software Quality Lead can do? Analyzing incidents to identify the optimal point to prevent re-occurrences in the future Analyze requirements from Trust Services design and code reviews to understand security risks and make sure automation that detects potential violations of these requirements is created Analyzing automation coverage to determine the most valuable area to focus on Stays at the cutting edge of testing approaches (including negative and security testing) and continuously trains team members on these approaches, as appropriate The team reports increased confidence in product quality (Self-reported) The team is able to measure and gain insights into their improvements to the product quality (Measured and self-reported) Driving quality plan which can be discussed with other stakeholders during release planning The outcomes of this role include: The team reports increased confidence in product quality (Self-reported) The team is able to measure and gain insights into their improvements to the product quality (Measured and self-reported) including such areas as performance, reliability and security Using data to identify where product improvements should be prioritized Leading the team on process creation or improvement Working with the team leads to assess the level of risk in the product roadmap and upcoming work Additional responsibilities of the role include: Identifying, promoting and supporting the adoption of innovative tooling (including security tooling) and approaches to drive high-quality product and engineering practices in the team. The following skills/experience are a plus: Coaching others on quality assurance and testing Leading initiatives with a group of people Developing automated tests or small software projects Performance testing and improvements Experience with security (e.g., threat modeling, security code review, security testing / tooling, etc) for example as part of the Security Champions program. Knowledge in the following technologies: JavaScript, SuiteScript, CSS, Web Applications, SuiteBundles Knowledge of automated testing tools and test case management tools This is a hybrid role.
