We are seeking a Senior Manager – Industrial and Employee Relations to deliver initiatives critical to operational and strategic objectives across the suite of industrial relations regulatory platforms. As a member of the People team and reporting into the General Manager - I&ER and Employment Counsel, you will work closely with the business to manage the delivery of a broad range of I&ER matters including strategies, management and governance. The primary purpose of this role is to support our businesses on all IR and ER matters to achieve commercial and operational objectives. As a member of the broader People team, you will assist with the development and implementation of a broad-based industrial and employee relations strategy, lead planning and negotiation of enterprise agreements, represent the business’s interests through advocacy before industrial tribunals and court, and advise on matters of compliance and interpretation across the suite of industrial relations regulatory platforms. What you’ll do: Lead planning and negotiation of enterprise agreements aligned to business objectives. Provide timely, accurate and commercial advice in respect of all I&ER matters. Provide advice and support on delivering change management initiatives throughout the business. Undertake advocacy in industrial disputes in applicable industrial tribunals. Undertake project work, including being proactive, as required to enhance I&ER management frameworks, change programs, capability and compliance. Drive consistency of IR/ER standards, approach and practice across all sites, ensuring good governance and risk mitigation is applied. What you’ll bring: The role requires someone driven, passionate, organised, and tenacious. Bachelor's Degree in Law, Industrial Relations, or related discipline. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Industrial & Employee Relations roles. Ability to display commitment to our values of Respect, Passion and United in our behaviours and performance of work. Prior experience in appearing in industrial tribunals (i.e. Fair Work Commission, AHRC, and state commissions). Prior experience working in complex, highly unionised industrial relations environments (prior experience in transport and logistics will be highly regarded). Prior experience planning and leading enterprise bargaining. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
