About the role In this leadership role, you will provide hands ‑ on support to a team delivering grounds maintenance tasks in outdoor environments. The role coordinates daily work, ensures safe and efficient operation of equipment, maintains work quality, and supports productivity by actively working alongside the team. Your key responsibilities will include: Preparing and clearing land for construction, agriculture, or infrastructure projects. Operating plant and construction machinery safely and efficiently. Loading, transporting and handling materials and equipment. Performing manual labour including digging, lifting, and trenching. Supporting tradespeople and crews with general site tasks. Conducting equipment checks and report faults or hazards. Identifying utility lines and manage soil conditions. Setting up and cleaning work areas to maintain site safety. Leading toolbox talks, and contributing to and promoting a safe work culture. Coordinating daily tasks for Grounds Maintenance Operators. Supporting TAL Supervisor with coordinating Contractors, compliance, and reporting activities as required. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Leadership experience or ability to step into this role. Ability to safely operate mowers, blowers, compactors, and other landscaping equipment. Capable of lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Assisting with fencing, paving, retaining walls, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with OH&S procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively on-site. Punctual, dependable, and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Relevant licences, white card and first aid requirements are highly regarded. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
