The Environmental Engineer is responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of the various projects that the Thredbo Environmental Services Department undertake. The role also assists the Environmental Services Manager in the operation and management of the Thredbo municipal services, including the sewage treatment plant and water supply. They will Provide support to the environmental services manager in the project management of municipal engineering related projects including coordinating planning, design, approvals and engaging with external consultancies and Government agencies. About the Role: Coordinating planning, design, approvals and engaging with external consultancies and Government agencies. Manage the data collection and record keeping using the ARCGiS geographical information system, including generating relevant spatial information for other departments. Assist in the management of the resort’s remote aircraft operations, including data collection and processing. Manage the continuing operation of the “SCADA” system at the Thredbo sewage treatment plant. Assist in ensuring compliance with the EPA Licence of Thredbo’s Sewage Treatment Plant, significant plant upgrades and the ongoing carrying capacity project. Assist in ensuring compliance of Thredbo potable water supply with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and NSW Health requirements.
