With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced â Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable to join the Northern Health Shared Services Department.   Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses:  Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  About the Role:  This role requires an enthusiasticâ¯Finance Officerâ¯with experience in Accounts Payable & Receivableâ¯to join the team at Northern Health in delivering a timely, reliable and quality service.  This position is responsible for overseeing the full end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Key responsibilities include:   Supporting the Team Leader Finance Shared Services, Director Procurement Services and CFO as directed in delivering high quality revenue services across Northern Health. Deliver on the revenue generation and collection tasks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the Team Leader Finance Shared Services and Director Procurement Services. Processing of Accounts Payable invoices and assisting with other daily and month end tasks. Processing of Accounts Receivable invoices and assisting with other daily and month end tasks. Maintain high quality data integrity and admission classification standards in line with DH recommendations. Follow-up on all unpaid and short-paid invoices and resubmit outstanding information as required. Respond to all telephone, email and mail billing and debt collection related queries from patients and their families, Colleagues, internal stakeholders, health funds and debt collection agencies in a timely and professional manner. Maintain active debtors manually and via debt management system (IODM) for outstanding invoices in accordance with the Northern Health finance policies and resubmit outstanding information as required. Actively commit to achieving the KPIs of the Department. Actively support process and system enhancement and redesign initiatives. Attend meetings as required, provide leave coverage and any other duties as directed. Willing to achieve competence in all areas of the Department. All roles are required to travel and work across all Northern Health campuses as directed to ensure continuity of service.  To be successful in this role you will have:  Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables Processing payments with and without a PO Number. Experience reviewing financial delegations to ensure invoices are approved by the appropriate delegate. Experience across the Microsoft suite of products, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Previous process improvement initiatives.
