Position overview The Risk Lead will be responsible for leading and driving the Bureau's enterprise risk function, to enable the Bureau effectively and efficiently manage its risks and deliver its mission and strategic objectives. The Risk Lead will contribute to the design, development, implementation and continual improvement of the risk management framework, polices, procedures and practices, and deliver best-practice risk advice to all levels across the Bureau. The role reports to the Manager, Risk, Resilience, Integrity and Audit in the Organisational Resilience Program. The key duties of the position include The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Advancing the Bureau's risk management uplift, including the development and implementation of policies, processes, tools, and templates aligned to best practice and the Bureau's strategic context. Coordinating and advising on the identification, assessment and treatment of risks in the Bureau's Risk Register. Providing high-quality, expert risk management advice to teams, programs and groups across the Bureau, building effective relationships and demonstrating an understanding of the Bureau's operating context. Maintaining knowledge and expertise of relevant legislative, policy, Australian and International standards and best practice risk management systems and apply this as an authority in the discipline. Preparing and delivering high-quality reports with evidence-based recommendations to committees and senior leadership on the management of the Bureau's risks and the effective operation of the risk framework. Line management of the Risk team, fostering a shared sense of direction, coaching and providing work-based learning experiences, and driving a culture of high performance and delivery.
