The key duties of the position include The Role The APS 6 Governance and Coordination Officer within the Policy and Governance (PG) team will work directly to the Deputy Director Land Test & Evaluation PG (DD Land T&E PG) and on behalf of Director Land Test and Evaluation - Army (DLTE-A). They will assist in providing the Director with assurance of Land Test and Evaluation Accountable Unit. Developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes. The APS 6 Governance and Assurance Officer is a key member of the PG team, ensuring that Army complies with Defence T&E Policy and Governance requirements and that Land T&E Accountable Units are safe, effective and produce objective quality evidence. The APS 6 Governance and Assurance Officer will facilitate the auditing of Land T&E Accountable Units and act as a quality manager overseeing compliance with ISO901:2015. The ability to draw on their own technical expertise and experiences to lead, plan and guide audits on behalf of LTEA and assist the DD Land T&E PG on a daily basis will be key in this role. The duties of this role include: Perform audit activities and plan, schedule and implement quality assurance related activities. Develop, set, monitor and assure the T&E governance framework applicable to Land T&E. Coordinate, monitor and report on governance compliance. Identify risks and determine appropriate course of action to meet stakeholder needs in accordance with Defence governance and policy requirements. In consultation with trial agency specialists, incorporate data acquisition and instrumentation plans into test plans, including specialised instrumentation when required. Support the development and implementation of policies, processes and procedures consistent with Defence governance requirements. Provide advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders on complex governance matters in accordance with relevant policy and procedures. Overseeing mapping of business processes. Ensuring the Land Test and Evaluation Manual and Defence policy is synchronised and compliant.
