About the Role As a Safety Lead, you will provide expert guidance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a strong safety culture. Reporting to the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Business Partner in Major Projects, you will oversee risk mitigation, assurance activities and continuous improvement of safety practices across multiple high risk construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Governance and Compliance: Conduct audits, site inspections, track incident investigations and corrective actions, and ensure compliance with WHS regulations and best practices. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks across operations. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance safety awareness and culture. Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives to enhance safety performance and workplace health and wellbeing. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: Safety Expertise: Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and safety systems. Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Technical Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, with recognised lead auditor and safety investigation qualifications.
