About the Role We are seeking an experienced Machine Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join a skilled maintenance team within a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance of fixed plant and mechanical equipment, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and uptime. Key Responsibilities Preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical plant and machinery Mechanical fault finding and repairs Maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics Safe isolation of equipment using Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures Working in accordance with WHS policies and site procedures Accurate maintenance reporting and effective communication with operations teams Essential Requirements To be considered, you must have: Recognised Australian Mechanical Trade Certificate (Cert III Mechanical, Engineering Mechanical Trade, or equivalent) Completed mechanical apprenticeship Proven experience as a Machine Fitter in manufacturing, industrial, or fixed plant environments Strong mechanical fault finding and preventative maintenance skills Current White Card (Construction Induction) Current Australian driver's licence Own reliable transport Ability to pass: Police check Pre employment medical Drug and alcohol testing (including random testing) Highly Desirable (Not Mandatory) Experience in plastic manufacturing environments , including blow moulding, injection moulding, extrusion, or similar machinery Experience working with automated or continuous production equipment High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging) Experience in continuous or 24 7 operations Work Rights Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or hold valid Australian work rights.
