About the role In this hands-on leadership role, you will manage all aspects of stores, warehousing, and despatch to ensure raw materials and finished goods flow efficiently through the business. You will play a critical role in supporting production continuity, meeting customer delivery expectations, and maintaining a safe, organised, and high-performing warehouse operation. This Warehouse Team Leader role suits someone who enjoys ownership, leading people, improving processes, and working closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams. Your duties Lead, coach, and support the inwards goods and despatch warehouse teams, creating a safe, organised, and high-performing work environment. Own the end-to-end stores and despatch operation, ensuring smooth material flow from receipt through to customer delivery. Manage daily despatch activities to consistently meet customer delivery deadlines (OTIF). Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Oversee ordering, receipting, storage, and issuing of raw materials in line with production schedules. Maintain accurate inventory records and FIFO processes to support uninterrupted production. Coordinate quarterly stocktakes and regular cycle counts, ensuring stock accuracy and accountability. Partner with Procurement on forecasting, material planning, and cost-reduction initiatives. Ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored, palletised, and shipped in line with quality and safety procedures. Monitor freight spend and support cost-control initiatives. Manage warehouse consumables including pallets, wrap, and packaging materials. Coordinate tooling movements in line with production requirements. Ensure all warehouse and despatch activities comply with WH&S policies and procedures. Conduct regular housekeeping and safety audits to maintain high workplace standards. Support QMS requirements and participate in monthly QMS meetings. Assist with resolving supplier non-conformances in collaboration with internal teams. About you Proven experience in stores, warehousing, and despatch management. Strong understanding of inventory control, stocktakes, and logistics processes. Demonstrated leadership and people management capability. Strong focus on safety, organisation, and continuous improvement. Confident communicator who works well across teams.
