About the Role Working within a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and coordination of security events across Powerlink’s statewide asset network. Reporting to the Duty Lead, Security Operations – Powerlink, you will: · Monitor alarms and security systems in real time · Coordinate first-line responses to security and emergency incidents · Escalate incidents in line with defined procedures · Maintain accurate operational records and reports · Support field teams, emergency services, and remote personnel This role directly supports Powerlink’s obligations under the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act and related regulatory frameworks. What you’ll be doing · Monitoring CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and duress systems · Assessing and prioritising alarms and security events · Coordinating incident responses and liaising with Police, Fire, Ambulance and SES · Supporting lone workers, remote sites, and interstate or international travel incidents · Using systems such as Gallagher, CCTV/VMS platforms, duress systems, and International SOS · Completing accurate incident logs, reports, and evidentiary records · Participating in structured shift handovers and maintaining operational discipline What we’re looking for You are an experienced SOC or control room operator who: · Remains calm and focused under pressure · Can manage multiple systems and incidents at once · Communicates clearly and professionally · Follows procedures and documentation standards rigorously Experience in critical infrastructure, utilities, energy, transport, defence, policing, or emergency services is highly regarded. Mandatory requirements include: · Queensland Security Licence (Monitoring & Unarmed) · Queensland Security Advisor Licence · Ability to obtain or hold AGSVA Baseline clearance · Senior First Aid & CPR Why join Certis?
