The team drives continuous improvement, embeds consistent best‑practice processes and frameworks, and oversees operational compliance across all faculties and business areas—ensuring cohesive, rigorous standards and that casual academic staff are paid accurately in line with University policies and procedures and legislative requirements. The Casual Academics’ Administration Officer (CAAO) provides high-quality administrative and operational support to ensure casual academic staff are accurately allocated work and paid correctly, on time. Working closely with academic and professional stakeholders, you’ll manage work allocations, timesheet reconciliations and enquiries, while providing practical advice on compliance with enterprise agreements, policies and procedures. This role is ideal for an organised, detail focused administrator who enjoys problem-solving, managing deadlines and delivering excellent service in a fast paced, collaborative higher education environment. Your key responsibilities will be to: manage casual academic work allocations and timesheets resolve enquiries and support compliant pay outcomes maintain accurate records in line with agreements and policy support pre-semester and pay cycle activities deliver timely, high-quality administrative support contribute to reporting and process improvements. About you demonstrated administrative experience in a busy, deadlines driven environment strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume, routine processes accurately confident communicator, able to respond to enquiries and work collaboratively with stakeholders experience working with systems, data and records management organised and adaptable, comfortable juggling competing priorities during peak periods customer focused, proactive and ‑solutions oriented with a commitment to quality service.
