We’re searching for a hands-on Trade Assistant with a Forklift Ticket to join a fast-paced steel fabrication and distribution site in Hope Valley. This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, thrives in a team environment, and wants consistent hours with the potential for long-term employment. What You’ll Be Doing Assisting with the handling and movement of steel products Operating forklifts to load, unload, and relocate materials Using hand tools such as angle grinders, oxy torches, and assisting with tack welding Supporting overhead crane operations (training/exposure provided) General yard, workshop, and warehouse duties What We’re Looking For Valid Forklift Licence (essential) Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting Confident using basic hand tools and workshop equipment Overhead crane experience highly regarded Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude What’s On Offer Competitive hourly rate Monday to Friday day shifts Opportunity for ongoing or long-term work Entry into a well-established steel operation Why work for ETA?
