Aegis Banksia Park is an ageing in place facility and both High and Low Care accommodation is available in all areas. Acacia and Waratah offer specialist secure Dementia Care. Set inside Aegis Banksia Park , these short term Residence rooms include a host of amenities including lounge areas where residents and guests can mingle in a relaxed and social atmosphere. Aegis Banksia Park TCP was selected by the State Government under the Transition Care Program to provide Residences for elderly people in need of care pending a return to home or admission to residential Aged Care. The highest standard of care, therapy and allied health services are provided, with particular attention to the individual needs of the resident and their family About You You should be an empathetic person who possesses the following qualities: A commitment and genuine passion for Aged Care. An ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor both unregulated care workers, care, and lifestyle staff. Within this role you will be a champion of high quality, safe and effective nursing that aligns with the resident preference and best practice by: Undertaking clinical, social and self-care assessments. Anticipate Residents changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals. Support Residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns. You will be responsible for compliance: Ensuring all care documentations are completed with the appropriate strategies implemented. Identifying and managing clinical risk in the aged care setting. Your role within the team would involve: Supporting, coaching, monitoring, and mentoring the unregulated care workers. Providing support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and clinical expertise to the care team. We need you to possess the following accreditation, skills and working rights: A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care. A sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems. Full Australian working rights and be able to pass a national police clearance.
