Following recent acquisitions—including an electrical manufacturing division—the business continues to scale, with further WA-based expansion planned. The Opportunity The State Manager – Western Australia reports to the Head of Sales and is responsible for leading all sales and operational activity within the region. You will oversee a team of three across sales , workshop operations , and manufacturing , ensuring strong execution, customer engagement, and revenue performance. This role also carries individual responsibility for a sales territory, plus national key account ownership for customers with a major WA presence. As the business completes its upcoming WA acquisition, this position will take on additional product lines and expanded leadership responsibility. Key Responsibilities Regional Leadership & Sales Growth Lead, coach, and motivate the WA team to achieve revenue and performance objectives Set territory and state-level strategies aligned with national growth plans Drive disciplined sales activity using structured sales methodologies Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasting, conversion rates, and pipeline strength Key Account & Territory Management Manage and grow key customer accounts across the mining, industrial, and education sectors Maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and develop new opportunities Work closely with product specialists to offer tailored technical solutions Team Management Support and mentor team members across sales, workshop, and manufacturing functions Conduct regular check-ins, activity reviews, and coaching sessions Ensure accuracy across CRM, reporting, and customer documentation Market & Customer Engagement Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and WA industry events Monitor competitor activity and emerging opportunities in the state About You You will stand out if you bring: Technical sales experience in sensors, instrumentation, or related engineering solutions — ideal due to the technical nature of the products OR Strong relationships and sales experience within the education sector , particularly universities or research environments Skills & Attributes Proven success managing a sales territory or stepping toward leadership Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand complex technical solutions Customer-focused mindset with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills Motivational leadership style that supports team performance and accountability Driven, ambitious, and comfortable leading in a growth-oriented, evolving environment Why This Role?
