Operating at the centre of a dynamic investment group and professional services environment, this role supports BlueRock, AFSL-regulated entities, and a diverse portfolio of operating businesses. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be accountable for group financial control, statutory reporting, audit, governance, and board-level financial reporting—ensuring decision-makers have clear, accurate, and timely insight. About your team "Everything is Awesome Advisory" is a dynamic financial consultancy firm where creativity meets corporate savvy. What you’ll be doing Group reporting & technical accounting • Lead preparation and review of General Purpose Financial Statements (GPFS) • Own consolidations, eliminations, and complex accounting treatments • Maintain accounting policies and audit-ready documentation Audit, governance & regulatory oversight • Manage external audits end-to-end • Support AFSL-related financial governance and reporting • Liaise with auditors, compliance, and legal advisors Board, CEO & executive reporting • Prepare group board papers and financial commentary • Take and manage board and committee minutes • Provide clear financial reporting to the CEO Financial control & systems • Ensure balance sheet integrity and internal controls • Support ERP and system improvements Portfolio & advisory support • Partner with finance leads across portfolio businesses • Support transactions, acquisitions, and restructures Leadership & culture • Lead and mentor finance team members • Contribute to a high-performance, values-led culture Requirements We want to hear from people who have: Relevant accounting qualification from membership of professional Accounting bodies (CA ANZ, CPA) Strong audit and GPFS experience Experience in AFSL or regulated environments Proven board reporting and governance capability At least 6 years of financial reporting and Accounting experience. Strong technical accounting knowledge including the application of IFRS. Knowledge of financial reporting and operational processes and accounting systems/applications. Commitment and proven ability to provide a high level of customer service Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with business managers Benefits Our people love to work for us, here’s why!
