As a Manager you will: - Work collaboratively with your line manager, in the provision of an effective and highly capable internal consultancy and strategic project delivery service.- Identify and implement best practice project management principles, practices, methodologies, and tools to facilitate effective project delivery.- Lead and manage the timely delivery of critical strategic projects and initiatives.- Lead the development of innovative, contemporary and fit for purpose solutions in projects / consultancies, ensuring alignment to the strategic objectives and priorities of the department.- Undertake necessary research, analysis, and consultations to support project delivery and inform project recommendations.- Effectively identify, communicate and co-manage risks and issues to ensure successful delivery of designated projects and initiatives.- Track, monitor, and report on the status of projects, initiatives and consultancies avoiding project creep.- Lead and manage the successful implementation of each project ensuring the intended benefits are realised.- Manage responses to adhoc requests relating to business and corrective system improvement initiatives.- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of designated projects/ consultancies and their implementation.- Prepare milestone reports, briefing notes, and presentations on each project where required, suitable for the intended audience.- Provide and/or oversee the provision of professional, timely, strategic advice to the Director and Senior Executives on the project risks, strategies to mitigate risks and overall project deliverables.- Ensure effective management of human, financial and physical resources.- Promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of management practices, policies and procedures, including achievement planning and equal employment/anti-discrimination.- It is a requirement of all employees to maintain cultural capability, commit to self-directed learning regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to contribute to a culturally safe and inclusive workplace.
