NAIF is a development financier established by the Australian Government to provide financial support for economic infrastructure projects across northern Australia. About the Role Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director People and Culture provides strategic and operational leadership across People and Culture and Work Health and Safety. This is a senior leadership role working closely with the Executive Management Group and Board Committees to shape organisational capability, culture and performance. You will lead the full employee lifecycle, ensure strong governance and compliance, and embed a values led, inclusive and high performing workplace aligned to NAIF’s purpose and strategic direction. Your Responsibilities: Develop and deliver a People and Culture and Safety strategy aligned with NAIF’s business plan and strategic priorities. Lead all People and Culture and Work Health and Safety functions including recruitment, workforce planning, performance, remuneration, policies, systems and compliance. Provide high quality strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Management Group and People and Remuneration Committee, including reporting on people, safety and organisational metrics. Oversee workforce planning, succession planning and talent management to build long term organisational capability. Lead and continuously improve WHS strategy, governance and reporting, ensuring risks are identified, controlled and managed effectively. About You You are a senior People and Culture leader with a strong generalist foundation and the ability to operate confidently in a complex and high accountability environment. You bring sound judgement, strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative leadership style. You will demonstrate: Significant experience in a senior People and Culture leadership role delivering both strategic and operational outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience. Strong knowledge of HR legislation, governance and compliance, with experience supporting ethical decision making within a government or regulated environment. Proven experience leading workforce planning, talent management, performance and remuneration processes. Experience or demonstrated capability in overseeing Work Health and Safety frameworks, compliance and continuous improvement.
