About the role: We are looking for 2 HR Business Partners to join our Regional Council clients team. One role can be either full time or part time and the other part time (3 days per week). As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will work collaboratively with the People & Safety team and build strong relationships across the organisation as a trusted adviser. You will support leaders by providing practical HR advice, coordinating core people activities and contributing to the delivery of business objectives through effective and contemporary human resource practices. Responsibilities include but not limited too: • Provide trusted, practical HR advice across a range of people matters. • Partner with leaders to deliver people strategies that support organisational outcomes. • Lead or support HR projects and change initiatives to improve systems, processes and engagement. • Champion a positive workplace culture through coaching, communication and collaboration. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and capability. It’s responsible for delivering essential services and infrastructure such as maintaining roads and bridges, managing community facilities, local planning and development approvals, waste and environmental services, and supporting economic and community development. The Council also engages in environmental stewardship efforts to protect the area’s unique ecosystems (including rainforests and coastal areas), works on sustainability and climate resilience initiatives, and provides avenues for community engagement and local governance under a mayor and councillors. To be successful you will have the following: • A degree qualification in a Human Resources field and demonstrated HR experience in a similar role • Demonstrated experience in operating a Human Resource Information system (HRIS) including reporting and analysis of data • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influence and management skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation in order to collaborate and reach successful outcomes • Highly developed communication skills including a demonstrated ability to consult, liaise, influence and provide education to enable customers regarding Council human resource matters • Demonstrated ability in the interpretation of Industrial legislation including understanding of/, or the ability to obtain, a working knowledge of, relevant employment legislation including the Queensland Industrial Relations Act and relevant Awards • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills to collect, analyse and collate data into meaningful information (including trend analysis and forecasting to inform exercises such as workforce planning) • Demonstrated ability with preparation of high quality and accurate documentation/reporting/training • Current Queensland C Class driver’s licence If you meet the above criteria and would like to know more click apply or contact me ASAP for a confidential chat.
