Client Brightside Recruitment is partnering with a specialist family violence organisation based in Melbourne. This organisation is dedicated to providing advocacy and support for the empowerment of women, children, young people, and the wider community. Role This role involves facilitating the implementation and delivery of therapeutic, cultural, and social and emotional Wellbeing programs and services for Aboriginal women and trans and gender diverse individuals. You will be working as part of a dedicated team to provide support and guidance to clients with a range of needs. You will also; Provide women with information about their rights and responsibilities as a client as well as undertake risk assessments, safety planning and implement risk management strategies. Liaise with co-workers to deliver a quality service for women and children who have experienced family violence and commit to the aims, polices and standards. Support women and children with exit planning as per case plan. Provide regular and ongoing face to face contact with women and their children at location where they are most comfortable. Criteria Minimum degree level qualification in Social Work or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years’ experience in managing programs. Highly developed cultural safety and competency skills. Passion for supporting Aboriginal women's social and emotional wellbeing. Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, history, and self-determination applied in a contemporary context. Extra Info Current Working with Children’s Check. Current Victorian Police Check.
