Our client is a privately owned, multidisciplinary engineering and project advisory business delivering complex projects across industrial, infrastructure, and built environment sectors. They’re seeking a Project Manager who understands how projects are delivered. Someone already client-side or coming from a head contractor background (engineers or Design Managers). This is a growing business that is in a stage of growth. Offering long employee tenures and real training and development, this is a great opportunity to grab a role outside of the QLD CBD. Why this role Genuine client-facing and hands on position - not an admin PM role Strong technical support from in-house engineers and specialists Broad project exposure across multiple sectors Clear development pathway without corporate layers Stable pipeline within a privately owned business The role Manage projects on behalf of the client from early planning through delivery, these include large scale industrial, agricultural, and processing facility type developments Translate client requirements into clear scopes, programs, and delivery strategies Coordinate designers, engineers, contractors, and authorities Control cost, program, risk, and design outcomes Act as the key point of contact between client and project team Your experience Bachelor’s degree in project management, Design, Engineering, Construction management or similar 3-5 years total construction or engineering experience Client-side Project Manager, or a Project Engineer/Design Manager with head contractor experience, ready to move into a client facing role Strong understanding of design coordination and construction delivery Comfortable dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders Organised, commercially aware, and decisive If you’re currently on the contractor side and want more influence, or already client-side and want stronger technical backing and ownership, this is a clean step forward.
