About the RoleAre you passionate about supporting newly arrived refugees to build independence, confidence and a strong foundation for life in Australia? As a Settlement Facilitator, you will play a vital role in helping individuals and families arriving through the Community Support Program (CSP) to navigate their settlement journey with dignity, empowerment and culturally responsive care.In this role, you’ll deliver client‑centred, trauma‑informed orientation and capacity‑building support, ensuring each client feels seen, heard and supported. You will work closely with community supporters, Case Managers, service providers and external partners to ensure timely, coordinated and responsive support aligned with each client’s Case Management Plan.Your work will help clients access essential services—such as health, housing, education, utilities and early learning—while building independence through guided navigation, orientation and practical learning. You will also facilitate pathways to community participation, employment and economic engagement, supporting clients to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to thrive in their new environment.Every day in this role brings opportunities to build connection, strengthen belonging and make a meaningful difference in the lives of newly arrived families.We are looking for 2 part-time Settlement Facilitator’s working 14 hours a week, based on a 12-month max-term contract. One Settlement Facilitator will be based at our Dandenong office and the second Settlement Facilitator will be based in north/west Melbourne, both positions will need to have flexibility to travel to across Melbourne.About YouYou are a compassionate, adaptable and culturally sensitive professional who thrives in people‑focused work. You bring a strengths‑based mindset, a commitment to trauma‑informed practice and a desire to support clients to achieve their settlement goals.You will also bring:A Diploma of Community Services (or similar qualification).Fluency in a language other than English relevant to community needs.
